About This Place

Located in the heart of Fort Worth at 2101 N Main St, Ray's Sportsman Club is a vibrant and authentic sports bar that stands out for its genuine Tejano vibe and warm Southern hospitality. More than just a place to grab a drink, Ray’s offers a lively atmosphere where locals and visitors alike come together to enjoy great music, friendly faces, and a unique cultural experience that resonates deeply with the spirit of Texas.

Step inside and you’ll immediately notice the energy created by DJ G, whose impeccable taste in Tejano beats sets the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable night. Whether you're here to dance, cheer on your favorite team, or simply unwind, the music pulses through the air like the heartbeat of this community hotspot. Customers like Juan capture the essence perfectly: "Older crowd, no drama and the DJ is always on point with that Tejano mix!! If you're looking for a Tejano bar this is the place to be."

Ray’s Sportsman Club also shines through its exceptional customer care and welcoming atmosphere. As G Mizzy enthused, “True Southern Hospitality” defines the experience, with owner Tonya and DJ G fostering a warm environment that instantly makes everyone feel at home. It’s a place where a spontaneous parking lot dance can turn into a memorable evening—a testament to the club’s infectious charm and genuine spirit.

The bar’s drink menu complements the vibe perfectly. Highlights include the “Real Man’s Beer” and classic Dos Equis, beverages that echo the straightforward, no-nonsense approach to good times that Ray’s embraces. Each sip feels like a toast to camaraderie and celebration, making every visit feel personal and spirited.

Food-wise, while Ray’s is primarily a go-to for drinks and atmosphere, their menu still delights with hearty, flavorful options that satisfy craving after craving. Breakfast offerings such as the Chorizo con Papas con Huevo—Mexican sausage scrambled with potatoes and eggs, served with beans—provide a comforting, savory start at just $7.99. For something lighter, the fluffy trio of pancakes or simple oatmeal with bolillo toast offers a gentle morning lift. For lunch or a casual dinner, the Taco Salad variations, served in crisp fried tortilla bowls brimming with fresh lettuce, sour cream, cheese, pico de gallo, and guacamole, bring a Tex-Mex flair that perfectly complements the club’s spirited ambiance.

Reviews echo a genuine affection for Ray’s beyond just food and drinks. Regulars like Sally Elaine Medina praise the friendly vibe and inclusive feel: “Love this place! First time being here, will definitely be back. Everyone was really friendly.” Meanwhile, Sergio simply sums it up with “Very friendly people, good Tejano music and more,” capturing the essence of this local gem. Special events, like Felix’s birthday party, transform the space into a live music haven, celebrated by visitors such as Freddie Hollman who described the event as “super fun” and “too live.”

Ray's Sportsman Club is more than a sports bar—it’s a cultural hub, a community gathering spot, and a vibrant stage for authentic Tejano music and true Southern warmth. Whether you’re craving an evening of lively beats and cold beer, searching for a friendly crowd where everyone knows your name, or simply wanting to immerse yourself in Fort Worth’s local flavor, Ray’s offers an experience that feels both personal and profoundly joyful. This is a place where every moment shines with hospitality and heart, inviting you to come as you are and leave with lasting memories.

My wife and I were going to The Stockyards today. A detour took us by Ray's. The music pulled us in. We stopped, danced in the parking lot and left. Stockyards were packed so we figured why not go back and have a beer. Let me just say it was a GOOD CALL! Deejay G and his wife Tonya ( the owner) showed us True Southern Hospitality. Great service and atmosphere . Will definitely stop in again, especially on Sundays. Gerald and Jami Newsom
